Client: The Prince’s Trust delivers its ERDF-funded Explore Enterprise programmes throughout the UK, aimed at making business start a realistic goal for disadvantaged young people and helping them to get their enterprises off the ground.
Project: New Skills Consulting was commissioned to evaluate the performance and impact of three of these programmes in the North East, Yorkshire & Humber, and the East Midlands. During our research we consulted with almost 700 programme beneficiaries via online surveys, telephone interviews and 11 focus groups. We also completed telephone and online consultations with 100 Trust staff and volunteers, as well as 26 stakeholders across the three delivery regions. The results of each evaluation were presented in comprehensive summary reports with practical recommendations for ongoing improvement and development.
Impact: Our evaluations have been used by the Trust to help shape improvements to service delivery, as well as to demonstrate impact and benefits to funders and key stakeholders.
